HAPPY 2018!!
One of my New Year's Resolutions was to keep an account of my opinions on the books I read in 2018. I love to read and my attempt was one book a week for the year. I am a part of a book club with a few of gal pals, which would have been my fourth book, but I didn't get to it. Here are the three books I did read and what I thought of them! I'm always looking for something new to read so PLEASE RECOMMEND something to me!

My friend from high school wrote this book (I know, like what have you been doing since high school?). Number 1, I bought this book as soon as Matthew published it on Amazon, but I'm a traditional bitch and prefer a hard copy book over anything electronic. So, that's why this is just being read by me because one of the P.E.A.K. Bees Christmas presents was a hard copy of Emerald Mazes! (Thanks Kel!). I started this book on the plane back from my Christmas visit home, I read it for the entire 4 hour flight and could not put it down! It's set in the Hamptons and will leave you dying to be rich and a part of the elite group of friends the book follows. Read by the pool with a glass of Pinot Noir in hand.
You Should Have Known
Previously, I have read The Couple Next Door (TCND) which I hold in the highest regard when it comes to mystery books. All other mystery books I will compare to this book. Lol. This book was no TCND. I still finished it though because you have to finish a mystery book. Overall, it was an interesting read, but I always want something more sinister to happen and this book didn't deliver. A psycho-spouse does not a whole story make, but if you want a fun ride instead of watching another episode of Who The Bleep Did I Marry? then this book will hit the right note.
What She Knew
Again, pretty good mystery, but with mystery books you never know how good it truly is until the very end. The intrigue leading up to finding out whodunnit only leaves you feeling satisfied if the person whodunnit fits into the story you've been reading the entire time. This mystery book felt like the author just chose someone at the end who we had met once and then wanted to tie everything together, not like I could have figured it out. There were some interesting twists, so yeah you can read this when you're in the need for a kidnapping mystery book and you already read TCND.
